Ray and Alden having some after supper reading time. Ray is gripped by some book about tractors and the Ukraine, a loan to the library from my mom. Alden is fully engaged by TinTin.
Max and Alden having, honestly, quiet reading time in the children's room (hard to imagine, but, it is true).
In order to spend the summer in the place where my family has been coming for generations, I have this funny little part-time job as the librarian in the community's summer library.
And, in fact, not only do I work in a library for the summer months, but, one of the job's side benefits is getting to live in the library.
This is actually a really important side benefit, since we can in no way afford to have a real house of our own around here. And, the house my family still owns is generally bursting at the seams with various people and assorted hangers-on.
